Me and Autumn!

This is me and my best friend, Autumn! Mommy and Daddy are friends with her mommy and daddy, Liz and Mark. Autumn was born about 3 weeks after me. I am sitting in the bouncer and Autumn is laying in the bassinet. Mommy is hoping that Autumn will teach me how to drink Mommy Milk from Mommy instead of from a bottle.

Who Do I Look Like?

I'm still really new so we haven't figured out who I look like. Our best guess right now I is that I look like my Aunt T-Mo!

Blood Donors

Three weeks after I was born Mommy started to bleed really badly at 4:30AM. Daddy took her to the hospital and the doctor did a D and C which is a surgery where they scraped her uterus (where I lived while I was growing in Mommy) and got rid of a part of the placenta that was supposed to come out when I was born.

Mommy lost a lot of blood so Mommy and Daddy asked some of their friends to give blood so Mommy can get stronger. We are all thankful for the people who gave-- Gma JuJu, Betsy (shown here), David, Virginia, and Anna. Thanks, Friends!

Visitors

I have had lots of people come to visit me. I feel very loved. These are Mommy and Daddy's friends, Greg and Laurie Johnson and Darrell and Liz Arthurs.

New Mommy

Someone took my old mommy and replaced her with a new mommy. I think I still like her, though;-)

Homecoming!

Mommy, Daddy, and I came home from the hospital on July 16, 2 days after I was born. My sweet grandparents welcomed us home with a big sign in front of our house.

Hi! My name is Macey Kathryn Mitchell and this is my blog! That's me on the scale the day I was born, July 14, 2007. I weighed 7 lbs 3 oz and was 20.5 inches long.

Only now, I'm only 19 inches long. How'd I shrink you ask? Well, the nurse at my dr's office asked the same thing, only to discover that, well, I had a conehead when I was born and, now it's gone! :-) Oh well, I guess I'd rather be a little shorter than have a traffic cone on my head!
